Good Value
I will of course offer you a quote to supply a top quality kitchen from my suppliers, if you so
wish. If this is the case, you will hopefully see that there is a difference in the quality of the
product and service I offer. And when looking further, you will possibly realise that having a
new kitchen supplied and installed could be less expensive, dare I say, by a few hundred
pounds, and possibly more, than buying it from the well known big kitchen retailers, or high
street firms. You do not have to take my word for it. Be bold, bring your existing quote, lets
compare.
Please note that when making comparisons, it is essential to understand the differences and adhere to
a 'like for like' approach. i.e, The number of units and panels, and the type of units.
Pull- out mechanisms and drawer units are much more costly than units with only shelves.
A Less obvious aspect that defines the quality of a product is the type of construction.

If the quality of the product you may have seen is equivalent to what I can
offer, it is time to compare prices. There is a good chance my price will be cheaper. If it
isn't, I will do my best to compete. And when taking into account the very
personalised service I can offer, I believe it would be difficult to find better
value. The reason is simple, read my pricing policy below to find out.
Pricing Policy
My pricing policy is based on a lower mark up than the industry standard, plus
the fact that I do not relay on 'add on sales' to bust profits, like it is common
practice in the retail industry.
Kitchen retailers normally add 35%, 40% and in some cases up to 60% mark up
to the cost of a kitchen, plus a few adds on. This is standard practice and it
translated into profit.
In the kitchen retail industry, there is always a significant mark up, even when firms advertise
promotional sales. That is how retailing works.
Bigger retailers can buy in much bigger quantities at cheaper prices than smaller ones.
But they still keep their prices the same to the general public.
Some offer a ' free planning service". That works very well to attract customers, but in most
cases, this cost is absorbed, deferred or included in the total cost, when they secure a sale.
Why buy from me
Big kitchen and High Street retailers have high costs and overhead. i.e. business
rents, staff salaries, big boss salaries, advertising, displays, SEO and TV marketing fees, etc.
These costs do generate a constant pressures that can, and do generate hard sales tactics in
the industry.
I simply don't have these costs or pressures. Working from home on my own is my choice.
It gives me total control of each aspect of a complex precess that is to supply an install a new
kitchen. I do it my way. The proper way.
For me the main challenge is to break through a very crowded market. Not many people that
need a new kitchen find me on Google. I choose not to pay SEO companies to have me listed
on the 1st page, that is very expensive. I am only a small company. Word of mouth has
worked well for me.
Occasionally someone looks a bit further than the 1st page of Google and finds me. When
they do, they realise that there is an alternative. They realise that I supply a top quality
product and use experienced professional installers and I project manage from beginning to
end.
Having a new kitchen is very disruptive, but I make it easier and less stressful for my
customers. Careful planning and good communication with them, suppliers and
installers goes a long way to help.
Speaking of installers, I do not take a commission on passing work to my installers, as it is
normal practice in the kitchen retail industry. All these cost are not visible, but they are real.
I do not subscribe to hidden costs or tactics such as 'free appliance', 'January Sale' or 'Stock
Must Go' slogans to attract customers. With Curiel Kitchen Designs what you see is
what you get. I simply choose to offer a true discounted price, by limiting my mark up to less
than what is common practice.
If you choose to buy from me, you will pay a lower mark up. This is the only way
I can trade as an independent retailer, in an industry that it is dominated by the well
stablished brands that keep hold of the market.
I believe in free enterprise, which means, as a small retailer, I am entitled to a place in the
market, and reserve the right to sell a top quality product, use top quality installers,
offer an outstanding customer service and charge less for it.
My hope is that some potential customers may realise there is a better alternative, and
at least one or two, may explore the possibility of considering someone a lot
less known, but potentially much better. You won't know unless you give yourself that chance.

I believe I offer a credible alternative, and have a small place in what it is
very competitive and difficult market dominated by the big players.
I have helped many friends and customers with their renovation projects. I hope to keep
